Hello friends,
It's time once again for me to share the following information for new subscribers. If you have been a subscriber for awhile, you may be familiar with it. And no matter how long you have been a subscriber, if you have any questions about my work, feel free to ask in the comments or privately in an email reply.
Without further ado, I’d like to share a few things about my writing process:
While many of my poems and songs are based on personal experiences, not all of them are based on actual events or real people. I often draw from the world of fantasy and fiction as a form of comfort and healing.
I often use some creative license when I do write poems and songs that are inspired by real events and people in order to simplify them or express a certain idea.
I can only write about the events in my life from my perspective. There are multiple sides to every story.
I don’t always write from the perspective of my highest self. Sometimes it is helpful for me to put all my petty, negative, angry, bitchy feelings into a poem or a song. Emotions are transient and in my experience expressing them this way helps them move on and leave room for a better perspective more quickly.
Ultimately, I don’t write in order to send a certain message to anyone. My tagline is, “I write what heals me” and it is my hope that what heals me can also be healing to others. I also hope that anyone who reads or listens to my poems and music find their own meanings in my work rather than spend too much time wondering what they mean to me.
Lastly, I want to advise anyone who has a concern or an issue with anything that I share here to contact me directly for clarification.
Thank you to all my subscribers for their support and encouragement.
