I should be over it now, I know
It doesn't matter much how old I grow
I hate to see October go

Johnny Mercer

Dear friends,

I celebrate seasons more than “holidays” and Autumn is my favorite. Because of this, the end of October is kind of bittersweet for me as it always feels like the beginning of the end of this too short season.

However, the older I get, the more I do find myself appreciating Winter. It’s become like a permission slip to live life at my own slow pace and hunker down with some books and notebooks, with a blanket and a cat (or two) on my lap (and two or three more nearby). In anticipation of this, I’ve been working to complete the transformation of my dining room into my dream home library (well actually, my dream library only exists in a Disney movie but I’m still pretty happy with this one). I hope to be sharing that space with you more here and on my Instagram in the near future.

Books are a source of endless fascination and inspiration for me. In fact, it was a book that inspired yesterday’s poem, “Monsters”, which I will tell you about in the next section of this newsletter if you are a paid subscriber. Or take advantage of the free 7 day trial offer below to unlock the rest of this post and my past locked posts for that duration.

Once again, whether you are a free subscriber, a paid subscriber or just dropping by to check out my site, I appreciate you taking the time to read my words more than I can say.

Peace & Love,

Victoria
